What are weaknesses . I believe there are two kinds of people in this world, there are winners who know what they want and understand their potential and the possibilities that are open to them, and they have a positive attitude and recognize their weaknesses. Next are the losers, who do not have a clue as to who they are and allow circumstances to shape their lives and self-image. They have a negative attitude and refuse to recognize their weaknesses.

To be a winner you have to acknowledge what are weaknesses. Here is a classic question for you, should you work on improving your strengths, or should you work on address what weaknesses? This question has a good argument on both sides; however, the answer is that you should be focusing on your strengths not on your weaknesses.

Now that you have the answer, you can go out and be the best you can be. If you need convincing on why you should focus on improving your strengths instead of addressing your weaknesses read on.

When you acknowledge what are weaknesses, but take no action to change them you will stay right where you are now. Many people will use their weaknesses for sympathy or to get attention. It is no good hiding behind your weaknesses or pretending you do not have any, because everyone does; the important thing is how you deal with it.

Probably one of the hardest things to deal with when recognizing your weaknesses is overcoming what other people tell you or say about you. It is one thing for you to see and recognize your own weaknesses, but quite another for someone else to point them out.

If you can take the accusations, and you can overcome thoughts of anger, because of what they have said or done, than you are on the way to changing your life.

So the question is how you use your strengths instead of your weaknesses. Setting and achieving goals is one way, this will help you focus on your strengths. Your strength is a natural ability that comes instinctively; it is an ability you have from the time you are born, you just need to find and use it.

According to the renowned psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, happiness and productivity is achieved only when you are using the physical and mental talents given to you.

Mihaly describes this state as, being the flow. For example, have you ever been working on an idea that relied on your strengths? You then got so involved that you lost track of time. Do you remember the sense of fulfillment you had? This experience was classed by Mihaly as “flow”. Have you work out What are Weaknesses.

I believe in this world there is not enough emphasis on strengths and that there is a tendency to focus on personal insecurities. You are often your own worst critic and you recognize your weaknesses instead of your strengths. When you possess this kind of thinking it can lead you to being a jack of all trades and a master of none. You need to set aside your personal ego in order to truly acknowledge your strengths.

So how do you find and improve your strengths? The types of strengths I am talking about are personality traits, for example, integrity, originality and kindness. I am not talking about talents such as being able to run fast or being able to sing with a perfect pitch. Improving your strength involves choices and when to use them, and whether to build on them. Improving your strengths can vary from person to person. You might find you are good at listening or you might find you are good at getting other people to work with you.

Once you have found your strengths you need to focus your energy into these areas. Still not sure what you strengths are? Well here are a few tips to help you.

Talk to a family member or friend; make sure it is someone you trust. The reason for this is because they would have noticed your strengths; they will be able to help you acknowledge your strengths.

Try and think of a specific area in your life that other praise you for. Try and think of what these things are. This will help you find things you are good at and help you acknowledge your strengths.

Now think of areas in your life that you are proud of. This will help you see that your strengths can bring you success and happiness.

If you find you can learn something easily, this can be a help in changing your life. It will also show that because you have strength in that area you will succeed financially and that success leads to happiness.

When you are doing something you feel good about, it shows you have strength in that area and this strength will help you achieve goals and success.

Although there are many strengths, there are five particular ones which are associated with you achieving success now. These five strengths are gratitude, optimum, zest, energy and curiosity.

You may discover that you are strong in one or more strengths. This will show you where to focus your energy and this will allow you to change your life. However, if none of the five tips are among your strengths they are still worth thinking about. Once you understand your strengths you might want to think about how you can use them to change your life. For example, you may choose gratitude. The way to focus on this strength is to list three things that you are grateful for each day, below are some guide lines.

To help you keep track of how you are doing, you may want to keep a strength diary, to record your weekly activities to help you improve your strengths. Try to take one area of your strengths and focus on this activity per week. Let me ask you a question what are weaknesses now.

Once you feel you have made some progress with one of your strengths, you can move on to your next strength. However, it is still important not to forget the strengths you already have; you should come back to them now and again to make sure you do not neglect them.
