A solid goal setting system is the key to effective time management and life planning.  When you use personal goal setting wisely, you will get a great sense of achievement.

Goal setting can be incredibly motivating and as you get into the habit of setting and achieving goals, you will find that your self-confidence starts to build, and with confidence comes self-improvement and self-growth.

The key point to setting goals is to decide what is important to you, so that you can start to achieve your goals now. You need to separate what is important from what is irrelevant or a distraction. How much do you want to earn? At what stage do you want to be earning this amount?

Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

How do you want to enjoy yourself and ensure that some of your life is for you?

 

Public Services

Do you want to make the world a better place for you and your family? If so how are you going to do this?

 

Social

Do you have social ambitions?

The first step in setting your personal goals is to consider what you what to achieve in your life, goals give you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making.

Once you have decided on your goals start to priorities them. Then review the goals and re-priorities them until you are satisfied that the goals you have set, reflect the shape of your life allowing you to achieve your goals now. Also ensure that the goals that you have set are the goals that you want, and are not your parents, spouse, family or friends goals. Finally, set a daily to-do list of things you should do today to achieve your goals now.

By setting sharp and clearly defined goals means you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see a forward progress in what previously seemed a long pointless grind. By setting your personal goals, you will also raise your self-confidence; you will start to recognize your ability is far more useful than you thought possible.
